Reverie for Park Tudor

Last month Park Tudor School of Indianapolis approached Michelle to create a painting to be hung in the school as a gift from the class of 2019. After acceptance, she began brainstorming different concepts for the piece; She knew she wanted to make something really special to represent Park Tudor, the students, and their history.

Michelle was inspired to create this painting using a technique that helps give the canvas dimension and a personal history. She started by building up layers using an Italian fresco base and then embedding the names of the students from the class of 2019 into it. After the fresco base was set she painted the picture using oil paint . After consulting with her son, Gavin, a fifth grader at Park Tudor, the two came up with the name Reverie. Like a daydream, the painting reflects and encourages the wishful creation of the imagination.

This painting will be gifted to Park Tudor, and prints will be available for presale. The printing and framing services were done by Aspen Molding and Heartland Printworks out of Indianapolis.

I was recently sent a silk wrap bracelet by Michelle Marocco. This bracelet is the most versatile and comfortable piece of jewelry I own, hands down.The bracelet I was sent is made from hand dyed silk with faceted Emeralds, faceted Labradorite, faceted Sapphires and a diamond Ganesh charm.

The bracelet can be worn a variety of ways including a necklace, an anklet and as a wrap bracelet.

While the bracelet appears delicate its quite durable. They say you can wear it from yoga, to the shower and out for coffee afterwards. Its true. I’ve worn it ever since I put it on.

This is a high quality bracelet made with natural and beautiful semi precious materials. I love it because it has meaning and sentiment.

It can be worn with my yoga gear and it looks great. I can also easily wear it with a dress on my way to a meeting and it still looks great.

Please join us as we welcome jewelry artist Michelle Marocco. Michelle’s work first came to Cleveland via the excellent eye of Libby Steels (original owner of Juicy Lucy in Chagrin Falls.). As her work was being featured at a local boutique, a Saudi Arabian princess who was visiting Cleveland, saw her jewelry. She was so taken by the beauty and creativity of Michelle’s pieces that she flew her to Saudi Arabia to sell her pieces at a fundraiser during Ramadan. It was a huge success and provided Michelle with a trip of a lifetime.

Michelle will join us at during the December Art Walk, Sat. Dec.3, 1-6 p.m. She will be bringing more of her beautiful and unique prayer beads, diamonds, leathers and semi-precious stones. Buddha’s are a theme throughout her work , as are one-of-a-kind charms and talismans. She is a master at layering pieces so bring your favorites and she will help you select the perfect complementary piece.
