Yoga follows a path of connecting to yourself, to the people around you, and to the universe. Reaching out to others is part of finding balance and life-purpose within ourselves. Art has always been a focal point in Michelle’s life. Sharing her love of art with others has found a home with VSA, The International Organization on Arts and Disability.
VSA was founded in 1975 by Ambassador Jean Kennedy Smith to provide arts and education opportunities for people with disabilities, as well as to increase access to the arts for everyone. Besides their network in the U.S., they have 52 international affiliates, with 7 million participants.
On September 23, 2011, the Indiana affiliate, VSAI, will host a biennial celebration of Art Transforming Lives at the Indianapolis Art Center. Michelle is among many respected artists in the art community who are donating their works for a fund-raising auction. Bidding will be online the week prior to the celebration, when it will continue in a silent auction during the event.
